With the introduction of the fourth generation of our racing car, we have developed a high-performance racing vehicle based on the knowledge gained from previous models. Particular attention was paid to reducing the weight of the vehicle by using smaller tyres. The implementation of these smaller tyres required a complete redesign of the suspension. New, weight-optimised wheel carriers were required at both the front and rear, and the gearbox on the rear axle was also revised. To further minimise the weight and focus the development on the wheel carriers, the suspension system was somewhat simplified compared to the e03. In combination with the revised battery design, we have achieved our goal of a significant weight reduction, bringing the total weight of the vehicle down to 216 kg.
With our e04, we have developed a competitive vehicle based on the experience of previous models. The focus here is on weight reduction through the use of smaller tyres, which requires a redesign of the suspension. At FS-Netherlands and FS-Austria, we have made innovative developments with this, in particular through weight-optimised wheel carriers and a revised battery design, resulting in an impressive overall weight reduction.

The Chassis & Aerodynamics Department is responsible for the development and construction of the entire frame, which forms the skeleton of our racing car. They also deal with the seat and ergonomics for the driver, as well as designing the pedals. Once the CAD model of the frame has been finalised, they manufacture it in cooperation with various regional companies. In addition, they develop a downforce-optimised aero package for the racing car and also take care of the carbon fibre composite production of the same.
